2019 Research Bazaar
Research Bazaar (ResBaz) is a worldwide festival promoting the digital literacy emerging at the centre of modern research. The event is held over a few days each year whereby researchers come together to upskill in the next generation digital research tools and scholarship. In the spirit of a marketplace or bazaar, ResBaz is a highly participatory event from researchers span across many different disciplines who can learn, share knowledge and skills, and have fun at the same time! The aim of the event is to equip researchers from all career stages with the digital skills and tools required to do their research better, faster and smarter. This is a unique blend of academic and social life, unlike any academic conference you have ever been to.
Community building
ResBaz is particularly aimed at those who are new to digital research tools. We aim to connect researchers across various disciplines who use similar digital research tools or are looking to upskill their digital scholarship practices.
Rather than request a ticket through a standard help desk, we encourage peer-to-peer style of learning and training. The event is to facilitate researchers to build a network of knowledgeable folks who work together to solve research digital problems and learn new skills. So come along, join in, and be part of the community!
Cost
The Faculty of Science and the University Digital Office are our sponsors for ResBaz, the event is free for all attendees.
